Retired and living the good life in the village of Rosalind, Alberta with husband, Jim. We have three grown children scattered about in Alberta and B.C. and four geodogs of the highest order.
We were introduced to geocaching by our Vancouver daughter in 2006 and when I retired from the College of New Caledonia in Prince George, B.C. in the spring of 2007, I was given a GPS as a retirement gift. I was the seamstress for a junior "A" hockey team in the midst of heading into the Royal Bank Cup that April and in the process of darning 50 pairs of hockey socks when I picked my caching handle "DarnSocks".
I have enjoyed exploring new and exciting areas through geocaching and have had the pleasure of caching in India, Japan, Brazil. Argentina, the USA and across Canada. We are currently the only Canadians to have found the Brazilian APE cache and were the 8th and 9th to have found it in the world.
The GeoTrust is a “geocaching brain trust” of knowledgeable geocachers who have graciously agreed to give guidance to the Event Planning and Operating Committee (EPOC) on all aspects of the Best of the Bad Mega Event. |
