The Canadian Badlands Geocaching Association (CBGA) promotes the growth of the game, sport and recreation of geocaching across the whole Canadian Badlands region. We'll continue building this Resources page as a point of entry to information about geocaching for the uninitiated, the noobie and the seasoned enthusiast.

HeadHardHat's GEOSnippets

You can watch any number of excellent videos about geocaching online but this guy is really cool. His videos cover a variety of topics of interest to a wide range of geocachers. They're often hilarious and always informative, and his laid back delivery and straight talk put you at ease. We've picked out a number of HeadHardHat's videos for our video page and you can watch his complete collection on his YouTube Channel.

Geocaching.com

This is the pre-eminent, go-to geocaching website for geocachers around the world. It has an embarrassment of learning riches for the serious and seasoned geocacher, and for those who just heard about geocaching from a friend and want to check it out. It's hard to suggest where you should begin mining the resources that Geocaching.com offers. Every page is chock full of valuable information, but the Resources Page is the most likely starting point. Click on the several links you find at the top of the page under Learn the Basics, including the Glossary of Terms, the FAQs and the Knowledge Books. After that you can spiral through the whole site as often as you like and pick up the choice nuggets you find along the way.

The Geocachers Creed

The Geocachers Creed is a voluntary set of guidelines for geocaching developed through a forum of geocachers. It introduces new players to the universal values of geocaching, and helps the experienced geocacher deal with problem situations. While you're on the the Geocacher's Creed website be sure to click on the link that explains how the Creed was built. Another link takes you to free Resources you can download and use to promote the Creed.
